Tattoo Aftercare – Read This Before Your Tattoo Heals Wrong
After more than a decade of tattooing, one thing is clear:
A great tattoo can heal badly with poor aftercare.
An average tattoo can heal beautifully with proper care.
Healing is 50% of the final result.
Follow this properly, and your tattoo will look sharp for years.
🧼 Day 1–3: The Critical Phase
This is the most important stage.
What to do:
Remove the wrap after 2–4 hours (or as advised)
Wash gently with lukewarm water + mild soap
Pat dry with clean paper towel (don’t rub)
Apply a very thin layer of aftercare ointment
Repeat 2–3 times per day
What’s normal:
Redness
Slight swelling
Plasma / light fluid
🔄 Day 4–10: Peeling & Itching Phase
Your tattoo will start to dry and peel (like a sunburn).
What to do:
Continue washing 1–2 times daily
Switch to a light moisturizer
Let it breathe
DO NOT:
Scratch
Pick peeling skin
Over-apply cream
👉 Over-moisturizing is one of the most common mistakes and can ruin details.

The tattoo looks healed, but the skin is still repairing.
What to do:
Keep skin hydrated
Avoid direct sun
Use SPF once fully healed

Avoid these if you want your tattoo to last:
Too much cream → blurry healing
Going to the gym too early → infection risk
Sun exposure → fading
Swimming (pools/ocean) → bacteria damage
Touching with dirty hands

🧼 第1–3天:關鍵期

建議做法:
依照指示於2–4小時後拆除保護膜
使用溫水 + 溫和肥皂輕柔清洗
用乾淨紙巾輕拍乾(不要摩擦)
塗抹「薄薄一層」保養藥膏
每天重複 2–3 次
正常現象:
微紅
輕微腫脹
滲出透明組織液
🔄 第4–10天:脫皮期
刺青會開始乾燥、脫皮(類似曬傷)。
建議做法:
每天清洗 1–2 次
改用清爽型保濕乳
保持通風
請避免:
抓癢
撕皮
過度塗抹乳液
👉 塗太多保養品是最常見的錯誤之一,會影響細節。
☀️ 第10–30天:穩定期
表面看起來已經癒合,但皮膚仍在修復。
建議做法:
持續保濕
避免陽光直曬
完全癒合後可使用防曬
